International Institute of Dialogical Self (IIDS) was established by Agnieszka Konopka and Hubert Hermans, the creator of the Dialogical Self Theory in 2008 in relation with Dialogical Practice Network. 

Scientific Director, Hubert Hermans is a creator of Dialogical Self Theory and an internationally recognized authority in narrative psychology and in narrative psychotherapy.  Hubert Hermans is an author of many publications, translated into nine languages. His recent book “Dialogical Self Theory: Positioning and Counter-Positioning in a Globalizing Society,” was written with Agnieszka Konopka, and has been published in April 2010. Agnieszka Konopka, holds a PhD in psychology of emotions. She is co-founder of composition work and a Cambridge University Press author and co-author of 'Dialogical Self Theory. Positioning and Counter-positioning in a Globalizing Society’ (together with prof.Hubert Hermans). She is author or co-author of many articles and book chapters about emotional change, identity, dialogical self and composition work published in English, Dutch, Japanese, Greek and Polish languages. She maintains a private practice as a therapist and coach in The Netherlands and gives trainings for psychologists, coaches and therapists internationally.
