  • Dialogical Self Theory as a basis for coaching and training”. Opening lecture by Hubert Hermans

In this lecture you learn how Dialogical Self Theory is applied to emotion and motivation. How to deal with your own motivations and emotions and those of others in uncertain situations.


  • “Dialogical Emotional Coaching”.

Workshop by Agnieszka Hermans-Konopka

How can we use the transformative potential of emotions in coaching from an artistic perspective? This methodology of coaching based on Dialogical Self Theory has been recently published by Cambridge University Press (2010). Now you have a possibility to apply it on your self and to use it in your work as coach or trainer.


  • “Journey to the future”.

Workshop by Ton Voogt

How can I enter a dialogue with my future position and how will it influence my life and career? How can you be a good captain of your own career?  Introducing a future position in dialogical coaching shows    clients new possibilities in the process of steering one’s life and career.


  • “Dialogical E-Coaching: going beyond boundaries and creating new possibilities.” Introduction by the three presenters. .

How can the internet be used in coaching? A new on-line tool for dialogical coaching as an alternative or complementary tool.

Contributors

The day will be opened with a lecture of the creator of Dialogical Self Theory, prof Hubert Hermans,  founder of the Self Confrontation Method (SCM). This method led to the establishment of a professional association (300  members). For his merits Prof Hermans received a decoration of Knight in the Society of the Netherlands Lion. His ideas were used in the formation of the government in The Netherlands in 2006. On the basis of his work bi-annual International Conferences on the Dialogical Self are organized in different parts of the world.


Workshops will be given by Agnieszka Hermans Konopka and Ton Voogt.


Agnieszka Hermans Konopka (PhD in psychology of emotions) is focused on work with emotions and art within dialogical coaching. She gives trainings and coaching internationally (e.g. in Japan and Greece) and develops a dialogical coaching method, cooperating with prof Hermans in the International Institute for the Dialogical Self. She is the leader of the global Dialogical Practice Network.


Ton Voogt (director Schouten China) brings together many years of experience in top management, international work and applications of psychological methods. He is involved in strenghtening the steering capacity of the person. Ton Voogt promotes reflection activity for highly talented managers before they enter a top position.


Dialogical Practice Network is a global network of practitioners, scientists, managers and artists who are involved in the application of methods based on Dialogical Self Theory. :
